Does anyone know of a way to secure USB ports on users desk top workstations?

Is there a way to know if a users has plugged in a USB thumb drive to there workstation?

And what would be the best way to block access to the USB port from users?

Thanks, Scruby1

Take some silicon glue and fill up the sockets.

Sorry.

If those USB ports are built into the motherboard, there should be a setting in the BIOS to deactivate them. Then put a password on the BIOS -- if possible, just a password to change the BIOS, not a boot password.

That will at least slow them down.
