Hello,

I was wondering what is the best way of securing cubes on a unix machine and allowing some users see certain levels in the dimension. The cubes sit on the Enterprise server on a unix machine and the users connect remotely. Any info would be appreciated.

Hi,
The best way to secure cubes is to add security in transformer. With this method you can still browse to a cube but when you open the cube with an explorer program you will be prompted for a password. You also can determan which users are allowed to see which dimensions and you also can show certain levels form a dimension.

This is very nice, you need only one cube for all your departments. (in Theorie,, ofcourse...) The larger the cube the worse the performance.

Good luck!
