I'm trying to secure my database using a workgroup. I'm a little new to this and I've been reading about it in a book "Inside Out: MS Access 2003". When I go through the whole process of making a workgroup and adding users and passwords, it applies these settings to all databases on the computer. Am I doing something wrong or is this how it must work? How can I secure one database and leave the others alone?

Not sure what your book tells you to do, but you do not need to secure 'all' databases.

There have been a number of threads here in the past several months, so you may want to search for them.

Briefly, I secured a database (yes, used a new Workgroup file), then the desktop icon to launch that database included the path to the database and the path to the new Workgroup file.

"Have a great day today and a better day tomorrow!

Could you give me a more detailed explanation of how you did this? Thanks.
