Hello everyone,

I connect to my company's servers at home via a Checkpoint Firewall using Securemote. This works fine when I am connected directly to my cable modem.

However, after installing a Netgear Router, I am unable to connect via Securemote anymore. Securemote tells me it is unable to communicate with the firewall, and indeed, the firewall logs don't even show my attempting to connect to it. My Securemote Encyrption scheme is set to IKE.

I have added the ports 500, 256, 259 and 264 to the "Port Forwarding" in the set up of the router. I was told that ipsec is automatically switched on with this router. I've tried reboots of both my pc and the route with no success.

Is there a way to get Securemote talking to my company firewall again with this router? Or did I just waste my money?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Ben

Try This:

Enable UDP Encapsulation under tools, encryption schemes, advanced tab.

After that make sure you open port 2746 on your router for the UDP Encapsulation.
