Hello,
I use SecureCRT on an option 11 pre-succession. it still uses Mermail.
Any ideas how I can use the keymap editor in secureCRT so that I can "press" the 5th function key at the bottom? ie the find or list key?

or is there an easier way that i've just completely overlooked?
i am emulating emulating VT100.

thanks

the key stroke is ^]OM

I use ZOC for my dial-up and map F5 key to ^]]21~

sorry not understanding.
So in keymap editor, under action, what do i put under function and what do i put under the field to the right?
is it function --"send string" then send string "^]OM" ?
cuz that doesnt work.
thanks

ive done that. now what do i press? i tried mimicking the VK_1 thru 4 buttons but cant for VK_5 as there is no VT_PF5 function.
after changing to VT220, doesnt seen any key is pointed to the 5th key.

In your session options Terminal > Emulation
Select VT220
Check the box for "Use alternate keyboard emulation"
Make sure VT220 is selected in the drop-down below.

The Meridian Mail softkeys should then be mapped to F6 thru F10 on your PC. Those are the keys that an actual VT220 terminal uses on Meridian Mail.

In CRT if you want you can map your PC F1 thru F5 to the VT Function VT_F1 thru VT_F10. That way it's easy to visualize the F1 key to the first soft key in Meridian Mail but it's not the true VT220 mapping.

excellent! that worked! thanks StanleySteamer (is that a reference to #12 Stan "the steamer" smyl?)

M1North - Side question, regarding ZOC.

Do you have many ZOC (REXX) scripts written for the PBX?
