Secure Telneting

Is there a way to telnet securely over the internet without comprimising the security of my server? I heard about ssh but how does that work. Please Help.

Secure telneting is a myth! Use openssh (because you won't need license-crap) and feel secure. Ssh uses heavy encryption and sends only encrypted data across the net. For more about ssh go to
