Secure Telnet 200ICP

Customer gave us VPN access to their network. I can Ping the 200ICP, however when I use Secure Telnet and connect, it pauses for about 30 seconds and then displays connection terminated.
Customer says nothing is blocked, but I am pretty sure something is up with the firewall, anyone expierence this before?
