What has everyone's experiences been with the secure routers, any of them. We have a customer that the routers work about the same as the ARN's they had in place before, however when they turn any of the firewall rules or VPN on, the box completely pukes.

Its been our experience that external firewalls or encryption devises work much better than a single box solution but when competeing with Cisco and there security routers it's tough although i believe they would have the same challenges with all the features turned on.

Hmm, other than:
- 3120 had a bad fan out of the box = RMA
- Four 1002s (out of 16) already returned to NT when the T1 ports start doing flakey things and the box overheats.

...they're ok. I really like having two Ethernet ports built-in, which is great for testing new circuits, etc. (put a temp subnet on the one port, then at cut time bring up the other port.) Also like being able to monitor the T1 circuit and errors without spending $$$ on a high-end external DSU.

On the other hand, I have some AN, ARN and ASN routers that have run for years without a problem. Same for my Adtran TSU LTs and ACEs.
