i have passport 8300 connected to secure router 3120 :

- The WAN Vlan IP on the core is 77.245.1.194
- The router serial IP is 10.245.1.193
- The router Ethernet IP is 77.245.1.193
- Static route on the 8300 is 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 Next hop 77.245.1.193 (Router Ethernet Port)
- Static routes on the router:
1. 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 next hop 10.245.1.193 (Serial interface)
2. 10.0.0.0/255.0.0.0 next hop 77.245.1.194 (Core WAN Vlan IP)

Using the above configuration, the router can ping the 8300 (77.245.1.194 wan vlan and (10.10.0.50 default vlan, (10.20.0.1 voice vlan) …,
And also our PC using DHCP IP (10.10.1.65), can ping the router Ethernet port.

But i still can not get to the internet, bearing in mind that if we use a static IP 77.245.1.195 on the PC i can connect.

any idea

thanks for help

Hi Savataj,

Is this how you have things connected?

10.245.1.193/? 77.245.1.194/30
------------ ------------
INTERNET ----| SR3120 |-------------| ERS8300 |------
------------ ------------
77.245.1.193/30 10.10.0.50/24

On the SR3120 you'll need a default route to your Internet Service Provider. If your are using a 30 bit netmask on your WAN/serial uplink the default route on your SR3120 should be 10.245.1.194. The default route on your ERS8300 should be 77.245.1.193.

If this doesn't help perhaps you could provide some additional information (like the full routing tables for the ERS8300 and SR2130).

Cheers!
