Greetings,
I'm deploying laptops to a number of my users in the near future. I'm trying to figue out if there is a way to create an administrator password that will span all laptops. This would be to allow admins to log into a machine that cannot get onto the network for some reason and reconize them. Note my users are not all setup as admins to their machine to ease my admin duties.
The problem that arises is that we are a security company. So it doesn't make sense to have one admin/password. Here are my 2 thoughts.
1. Add a local user/password to each machine and allow it to be distrubed to admins only.
2. Add domain admins to a group that will reconize them as a local admin also...but this will only work when on the network.
Basically does anyone know of a function or software app in NT(4/2K) that would allow me to login as a local admin to a pc which isn't on the network and there is no other local admin setup except for domain admins.
Thanks, [sig]<p>William L. Smith<br><a href=mailto:mantislee@yahoo.com>mantislee@yahoo.com</a><br><a href= > </a><br>AOL Nick: Mantislee<br>
