Secure Dial Access

We have a vendor supported software application on our iSeries that requires modem access for the vendor at all times. I would like to secure this process as much as possible. Is there a product or solution that can somehow authenticate them? Thank you

Do they have a specific signon, and what type level of security do you have running on your AS400??
