secure credit card transaction

We are building an online shopping store and I was just wondering if anyone could tell me the process of having a an online credit card transaction.
We have come up with a script to validate credit card info and of course, per the client, the customer would enter his/her credit card info online and the information would be transmitted via email.

I see signs that say Zero Reliability or secure One.
How do we go about getting these secure signs?

You could contact Verisign. They do secure certificates.
