Secure Access Manager - XP only??

Does anyone have a definitive answer to whether Secure Access Manager will only communicate with an Metaframe XP Farm - the Citrix documentation is a bit vague and seems to indicate that XP is required for full-functionality of SAM, so does it only lose some functionality if the farm is Metaframe 1.8....???....or won't it allow access to a 1.8 farm...???

We ended up talking directly to Citrix (in May) about this exact issue. The answer was that while is is possible to get SAM running with 1.8, it requires customization. The kicker is that Citrix was not providing information to resellers on how to do this, so you had to pay Citrix to send techs to your site to do the work. Very pricey. We ended up dropping SAM, and took the cheap option of installing NFuse Classic and the Secure Gateway.
