Have developed a database application packaged and put it out to users as a Runtime application. I want to secure the application .mdb file , so someone with a full version of access cannot open, alter, copy whatever. There must be someway to secure this. Have tried the various security options under Tools/Security but they don't seem to address what I am after.

Any help would be appreciated.

Read about Access security. It will do everything short of keeping out someone who is maliciously trying to get into your application. If you need more security, you'll have to look into working with the operating system. But my guess is that you didn't fully see the power of Access security.
