A director has 2 secretaries that pickup all of his calls that ring 100, the extensions of the secretaries are 101 and 102 respectively.

How would it be best to make sure only the two secretaries can transfer or call the director directly?

System type, sw level?

Interconnection Tables or tenanting

Tenanting is more limited so I would recommend interconnection.

Put the Exec in Interconnection 4
Put the secretaries in interconnection 3
Put trunks in interconnection 2
Everyone else remains in interconnection 1

4 No restriction

3 No restriction

2 No restriction

1 restricted from 4

bit rusty on manager scretary but i thought you diverted the managers extn to the secretarys and then programmed a button on their phone with the feature code to overidde the call forward

Boycey9 - That would work as well. You would have to use the Feature Override code specifically.

Alternatively, the Exec could be placed in DND with secretaries having Override enabled in their COS.

The difference with the last 2 scenarios is that there are conditions where calls can get through to the exec if Forwarding or DND are disabled. This adds flexibility but also fallibility
