It seems that most of the secondary site clients are assigned to the primary site. Even when the push-client config. has SMSSITECODE=AUTO.

Some clients have the right SMSSITECODE but show up in the collection-systems list as having no sitecode.

I've reinstalled a new SP3 client without any change. I believe the sec. site has all necessary services.

How can I change the SMSSITECODE on the sec. site clients and why won't the SMSSITECODE show up in the collection?

Description from Microsoft on SMS Secondary site:

"secondary site An SMS site that has no SMS site database or administrative tools. A secondary site is managed by and forwards inventory and status information to its parent site. A secondary site can only be a child site. See also child site; parent site; SMS site; SMS site database."

So this means:
The site code will only come from the primary site server. If you look at the sms site code assigned to your secondary server you will see that it is the one from the primary.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,
GSC
