Is their a way to setup my Company's Exchange 2000 server to act as a secondary server to an external Pop/Smtp mail server?

We need the server internally because we have and need a Blackberry Enterprise server for Exchange and we need the public folders and calendar sharing option.

However, we only have one Exchange server and just a DSL line. So I would like to be able to use if possible an external hosting service for our email and are http traffic. The remote company spends millions on their equipment and has a strong disaster recovery plan as well as, a DS-3 to the internet. We will never have that budget, but we need their email and web reliability.

Any help or sugestions would be appreciated.

It would be less expensive to get a brand new box from Dell or some vendor and install Sendmail on it. Have that act as your front end server and pass all your mail to Exchange on the back end. Then have your Exchange box send SMTP mail out through your BES and pass to your Blackberry carrier.
