I've been shopping the landscape of secondary DNS providers and am not happy.

What I find most inconvenient about those I've found is that they essentially bind you (pun intended) to use them and their GUI/interface as the primary DNS service and then your DNS servers become slaves that take zone transfers from the service.

That's a little ass-backwards for that I want, though I suppose I can see some security issues behind them taking zones from me.

Anybody aware of a service that has a decent secondary DNS (minimal relative volume) for up to 50 domains that TAKES zone transfers from their customer for specified domains? I cannot find one. I'm using bind/named.

(Why? I've decided to scale back on servers I run just for DNS redundancy)

Appreciated, Dave.
