Hardware:
Windows 2000 with Exchange 2K3. One NIC.
Problem: I am trying to configure a second virtual SMTP server in Exchange to allow my imap users the ability to send email.
What I did so far: I created a second SMTP connector and gave it another port number (587) and added a SSL certificate to it. The iMAP protocol also has the same certificated added to it.
In the second virtual SMTP in Authentication I have "Basi authen...." checked "Required..TLS..." checked. Default domain, I have listed our AD, "Integrated Windows Authen...." checked. On grand or deny users, I have listed my own account. On relay restriction I have "Only the list..." checked and "Allow all computers which successful..." checked. On secure communication all options are checked. On Delivery advanced I have the name of our mail server listed there as the fully qualifed domain name, the Smart Host field is empty.
Issue:
People are able to connect to the second SMTP and imap client machines outside the network are able to "send" the email but all emails send using the second SMTP are not delivery and instead they are stuck in the Queues under "Messages awaiting directory lookup" Sending and receiving internal and external emails using Outlook inside the network is working fine. Thanks in advanced for any help.
