I'm using a Netopia 9100 router setup to accept VPN connections. I am running Windows 2000 small business server with one nic and a static ip address with the DNS server pointing to my isp's DNS. All the other workstations get served ip addresses by the router. If my server needs to accept a VPN connection from the router, do I need a second nic card or is that only if I'm using the server as a router? If I do not need a second nic then why is it that when I try to connect from outside I connect for an instant and then I'm disconnected. The router log says "pptp connection established" and then right after says "data protocols all down." I setup the VPN manually using microsofts article. I also setup the netopia accordcing to their instructions. I know this is a lot to chew on but can anyone help out?
Thanks in advance,
Darin
