I have some knowledge of the Norstar system, but this one I am having trouble with. We are on a Norstar MICS software version 2.0. Kind of an old system that still uses 7324's.

Ive tried searching previous posts but was unable to obtain what I was looking for. We have a pretty big office so we need this change made "system wide" and not just "set to set".

If you are on the first line of a phone, and someone calls in...there used to be an audible tone that alerted you to another incoming call and the arrow would flash. NOW somehow it seems...that all it will do is flash the incoming call arrow, but does not have the audible tone or "BUZZ".

This is on all the sets at the office....please advise how to correct as to have all sets have this alert turned on.
Thanks,

By default, all Norstar sets provide a muted ring when a call comes in to a busy set. That problem is usually caused by users who turn their ring volume down too low to begin with and as a result, the muted ring is inaudible. Try adjusting the ring volume on each set by dialing "Feature * 80" and then, using the volume bar, adjust to a nominal level. If the volume is up high enough to begin with, you should get a muted ring on the second call (unless someone has changed the set programmming to DND on busy). Different ring types might also help (Feature * 6).
