Can you tell me how to put a "line break" into a cell entry so that some of the data appears on a second line in the cell. I will wrap the entry, but I want to put the line break in myself and not have it determined by the column width.

The suggestion of Alt/Enter doesn't seem to work. I am running Lotus SmartSuite 1-2-3, version 9.8. I designate the cell to wrap the text, I type the first part of the entry and when I press Alt/ENTER nothing happens. What am I missing?

Opps, that is right. Alt+Enter works in Quattro Pro and Excel. For L123, your only option is to pad with spaces or do a Paste Special. Insert an OLE object that you copied from your word processor with the formatting that you want. You can add the unformatted text to the cell and make the OLE object overlap the cell if you need other cells to act on that cells value.
