Hi,
There is MD110-BC10 (1 LIM) with Solidus and one NIU card. On NIU card there are: Terminal, Modem and Solidus over IP.
NIU card often is blocked. Somebody told me that reason is that all aplications (Solidus, Modem, Terminal, HDU) are working on the same card.

1. can I put in another NIU card to connect it to Solidus ?
what set of command are necessary to do it ?

2. can I put in IPU card instead NIU and then use NIU for Solidus ?
what set of command are necessary to do it ?

Greetings

Hi
Witch version of NIF (FW on NIU) have You?
I prefer NIF 13 or 14
To check version of NIU use command CNBIP:BPOS=…..

1
Yes You can add new NIU board but not in magazine 0. In LIM 1 magazine 0 should be only one NIU placed. It is “Master” NIU to connect with HDU and terminal port.

Send printout of command
IODDP and IONCP

2 Yes you can use IPU board as I/O board and NIU for Solidus but You must have correct EPROM for IPU with your EIC number.

You can add second NIU in magazine 0. There is no restriction as long as you don't try to connect the HDU to it. Ericsson have been shipping MD110 with NIU's in POS 52 and 60.[thumbsup]
