second HWIC-4ESW not running well

Hi,

I Have Cisco 2811 with HWIC-4SW attached in slot 2, It is running well now, I can do Vlans on each port and also do vlans routing on that module, but When I attached the second HWIC-4ESW module on slot 3 it doesn't work, I can configure all the things and I ARP table is also there but I can not even ping from PC attached on that particular port to the router.
I try to make all that port in the same vlan (switchport mode access) it also doesn't work I can not ping PC to PC attached on those port.

And If I attach the second HWIC-4ESW module on slot 0 or slot 1 it is work well....but the first module on slot 2 become not working..it seeams that if I put two HWIC-4ESW module on single 2811 chasis its only the former port will work well

I use IPBASE IOS Ver 12.4(10)

has any one experience this kind of problem?
please advise..

If you have 2 switchcards you have to stack them together .This doc might help you.

Doesn't he have to tell the router what kind of card is in slot 2?

Not that I know , it should recognize the card but in order for a second hwic to work I think you have to tie them together , the doc should spell that out.
