Option 11c Rls. 23.35 Controller Card is a NTDK20AB. The cabinet is a NTAK11BB. I can't get the NTDK24 (Daughterboard) too work. The far end is a NTDK25 (Fiber receiver card) The cabinet on the far-end is A NTAK11BB. The daughterboard works fine if I have in the First fiber expansion spot, but if I move it to the second it will not come up. I have a plastic fiber daughterboard in the first expansion spot and it will work in both spots. My question is why will the daughterboard work fine in the first fiber expansion spot, but not the second. Thanks for any help in advance.

Sounds like the mother board is the problem. if you can move the daughterboard from one to the other and it stops working something is wrong with the contacts with the one that doesn't work.

I can move the existing Daughterboard, that is on Fiber # 1 and move it to Fiber # 2 Works great. I also used another controller card and the same thing happened. The NTDK24 would not work on Fiber # 2.

make sure I understand

1. fiber daughter board 1 work ok. with no other changes, if you move fiber daughter board 1 to daughter board 2 slot and connect fiber to second cabinate - works ok

2. fiber daughter board 2 does not work in either location?

problem seems to point to daughterboard if i am reading you right. Need to know all steps. if you move a card but all else stays the same - fiber, fiber recv - and problem follows problem points to card
if you move the fiber and all else stays the same - daughterboard, fiber recv - and problem follows could be fiber or fiber rcv.

You need to test like this and use the proccess of elimination.
