Hi there
I am programming my first cxi and i have an issue with the
Second Dial Tone on an analog trunk.
from the ARS Leading Digits Assignment form, when i put the
second dial Tone to YES, the system doesn't accept, and i do not know why? any idea

Did you put in the 0 or a 9 for the leading digit ?
It should work

I believe the issue is in your understanding of what 2nd dialtone is.

Second dialtone is programmed against the ARS leading digit and only determines whether you get dialtone after dialing the leading digit or not.

I cannot imagine this not working.

You mention 2nd dialtone and an analog trunk in the same sentence. 2nd dialtone has nothing to do with trunks.

Ok, i give you more information:
i have 6 analog lines that i put in a trunk group. with the leading digit 9
Now when i dial 9 from any programmed IP phone i get silence instead of dial.
take not that after dialing 9, if i dial a phone number, i get the communication. thank you

Got the the ARS Leading Digit's Form, there you can set the Dialtone to Yes or No

that's what i did but for some reason, the system doesn't accept the YES

The only time I had a problem with the system accepting the YES was when 9 was not in the ARS Dial Digit String form. I had been used to the 200 ARS forms where you define the 9 first, then program strings behind it. In the 3300, it is reversed. Actually, when you build an ARS string, you have to include the leading digit (eg 9+AreaCode+7 to follow goes out RT X). The first digit defined there will be "auto-populated" in the ARS Leading Digit form when you next access the form. By Default it is set to NO, but can be changed to YES.
