We are looking at needing a way to direct certain outbound calls out specific trunks. One way we thought of would be to use a second ARS Access code. So for most calls dial 9 and the number but for these dial 8 and the number. Problem we have is when we tried to add 8 as the second access code it gave an error saying it was an invalid FAC but we don't see it being used anywhere else. Is what we are trying to do actually possible? If not what other alternatives can we use? DAC or TAC is not possible because all our trunks are PRI, unless someone knows how to get around that.

Thanks for any ideas.

use the "aar" routing code. so say you set aar to "6", then in the aar analysis table you have an entry "1", with minimum 11 maximum 11, and use whatever route you want for LD... then when you dial "61xxx-yyy-zzzz" it will route out using aar isntea of ars, but it will be an alternate code, for possibly a separate set of trunks, in case you have a carrier LD issue. I have set this up many times for our clients, who have multiple PRI's from different providers.

You can use either Tenant Partitioning (if it's enabled) or ARS Partitioning (up to 8 partitions) to specify which trunks a group of people can use.
