I use Linux for my primary desktop at work, and access our definity switch and some of our Opt11s via minicom. It works great, even with Mermail. THe only problem I am having is that I cannot get past the SEB login that we have on one of our Opt 11s. Has anyone overcome this? What kind of terminal settings does it require? Minicom only seems to offer VT102 and ANSI.

Thanks,
Dave V

need to upgrade your modem softwr to get vt 220...procom plus...you know.

I have used Minicom with VT102 emulation and get by the SEBs.
The SEB is case sensitive, watch for remapped keys in minicom, other than that I may not be much help.

Yeah, since writing that original post, i found that I need to press Ctrl-R before putting in the password. It wasn't minicom's fault. I was (and still am) new to the meridian world.
