I have a web that i created with the FP wizard to test some of the features. later i added a forum, it posts the articles fine but when you run a search on it i get nothing.
i read a thread on dirs with "_" in front of them making them private and not searchable so i renamed it to just disc2. i still dont get any results back.
I have the entire DIR where the web is added to the Catalog and marked in the "Web Indexing Serive" for inckude in index. Still it does not work.
Eariler i had ran searches (not from the forum search page) from thhe main page that i initially created and it brought up files and document results from the system drive (c.
I have a separate drive that i used for the web stuff. It isnt happening anymore (i made some changes but i dont know what i did) but i wanted to know how to restrict it to only indexing specified drives and DIRS's.
Some DIR's were added automatically when i installed IIS5. i tried to set it to "not include in the index" but it gave me an critical error message box of Title: "Invalid Directory" Error Message: "CI Service".
