Searching for notes made on a certain day?

I recently transitioned my company from ACT2004 to ACT2008 Premium. During the switch, I am certain that some notes were made in the old db which weren't present at the time of conversion...so those need to be imported manually.

I know how to write a script to find contacts edited within a certain date range...but that doesn't seem to cover Notes/History. Am I mistaken?
