Searching for GP data using forensics

I need to do some forensic level searching for GP data on some systems that were acquired using EnCase forensic software. At this point I'm not even informed as to what version of GP is on the system(s). Is there a file I could search for that would tell me this? I assume that all GP data is maintained in SQL server databases? What about reports? Does GP use crystal reports so I could just search for those file extensions? Any pointers would help.
