Now it is me to have a problem.
I am trying to do graphics using OpenGL with Compaq VF and got stuck. Reason is, the error messages that are issued are not very illuminating, e.g. I get 'access violation' with some index to the assembler code - which does not help me really. I did try to find what violates the access in this library routine with 9 args for two weeks now but to no avail.
Now the question: Am I using the best of the fortran compilers available or is there a superior choice for my task that has
(1) a full grasp on OpenGL
(2) clear error messages
Which would you recommend ?
I used Salford FTN 95 before. Nice error-messages but the grasp on OpenGL is not very well documented.
Compaq VF has all the OpenGL routines and a quite intelligible access to the routines - but as above, is rather stingy with errormessages.
Or would it be best to learn C ??
(tried C++ before but could not make head or tail of it).
Any ideas anybody ??
