Searching for attacthments in message

I really hope someone can help me or at least point me in the right direction with this. I want to be able to download attachments in the POP3 based webmail application i wrote a couple of nights ago. The thing is, that i do not know how to search for a attachment in the message body. I've been searching the internet for almost 3 days to no avail.

Can anyone help?
