Hi.

I am searching for a tool that can take a command file in ZPL and visually display the result in a window.

I am trying to build a preview feature so labels can be displayed instead of being printed.

Does such a thing exists?

The problem with Zebra, is that they want me to contact the local distributor, and I did that some time ago.

Most of the label print solutions out there requieres you to install a label design/print program on a server and pass all label designs through that program for printing.

This is a very sille, performance heavy and license expensive solution, because all these printers will print the label if they just receive the right commands.

So my solution is to create these very simple commands in a Ascii file and send that file to the printer. In other words, I have a valid command file, that will print but needs a preview (a print to screen) option. And this does not use any expensive label print server that these label print companies wants to sell to me.

Including the local label zebra distributor. That is why I try to find an alternative solution.

My guess is that what you are looking for doesn't exist.

While there are PCL viewers, I doubt you will find an analog in the ZPL world. Labsl design software that I have seen, ultimately converts itself to a bitmap image that is then rendered to the target printer.

Im doing the same, with a text file, I cant see it, but I know the end of the label design with a test and error process to polish the details...
I have also a PDF file with all the commands for the printer, you can download it in the official website of Zebra printers...
