I'm on a Nortel 81c, Succession 3

I have my phones DES set to where they are in the building. I'm need to do a search in the system by the DES. Primarily by the first character of that DES. Is there a way to do this?

Example: If my DES is say D1101 I want to search by D or say D11 if possible.

Thanks Folks For any Assistance you can give!!

Jeff

LD 83 - REQ is LST --> this gives you a list of phones sorted in DES sequence:

ADVTSG 16 AUG 2010 00 004 0 11 04 500 4D 68572
AGBICH 25 OCT 2002 00 048 0 11 09 500 4D 68709
AGBICH 15 OCT 2002 00 064 1 02 09 500 4D 66018
AGBICH 2 OCT 2002 00 080 0 00 05 500 4D 62006
AGECON 15 OCT 2002 00 064 0 07 06 500 4D 67497

Use the plus sign as wild card.
DES D+
or
DES D11+

It only works to search for leading characters but should do what you want.

way faster to ld 81 lst and at the des mp5+ would list all stations matching mp5

just a hint but if you go to pepedog.com/meridian and get a copy of the excel macro.. you can sort your tnb by des on key 0 or almost anything else.. it's way quicker and having an excel spread sheet will all your stations is a nice tool to keep around..

when users try to describe the way it used to work, i can look at their station each quarter for the last 5 years..not to mentio

I do have an access data base with all the TN's with the locations they go to. It does not include extension due to these folks don't like to site in any one place very long. :)

Jeff

Dare I say it but TM will give you the options to search on different criteria's including DESignaton criteria, if you have it ofcourse

Cheers!!

same here, i run a new database to excel each quarter.. another quick place to get type,tn.des and dn in ld 117, inv prt sets.. if you issue inv generate midnight once then anytime you need inv prt sets will send a new list..

and that does an idu to insure the as built matches the physical set
