Hello,

I've a report with a lot of formula fields. Now I've to look for one field on this report.
Is there an easy and quick way to schearch where this field is on the report.

I'm using CR6.

thanks & greetings

This was one of the things I didn't like about the earlier versions of Crystal - you could see that a formula existed in the report, but if it were hidden, or behind another field it could take forever to find it. Later versions use the report explorer to show all fields and objects in a report using a tree - clicking a formula field in the tree, also highlights it in the report so that you can locate it easily. I guess the short answer is no - there's no easy way I know of...

You can export the report to the Report Definition File format and then do a search for the name.

A field isn't very descriptive, do you mean a database field or a formula field, or...

If it's a formula field then you might change a data type to something illegal and then run the report, it will pop up when you run the report...
