Hello

I have an open question to ask which I hope you don't mind.

I am new to VB databasing and want to build a database demo app using VB. The database app is just to show that my idea can work - so I will look at the full project as time goes on possibly using other more complex means but for now I want to do it as simply as possible.

So would that way be through a CSV file? Or should I create the database using Access/Excel or something?

My preference is the CSV as I will eventually hook into mySQL.

Thank you in advance for your time and energy~
have a great day.

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step" the old Chinese proverb comes to mind here ;-)

To get the best from the forum start by reading faq222-2244 carefully.

To get a 'quick & dirty' start to VB database usage use the VB Dataform wizard and ask for ADO code as the wizard progresses. It's not perfect, but will give you an easy start and some cod e ideas. It's available under Project|Add Form

If you get stuck at some specific point, you can come back with a more crafted question.
