Searching a date but only by month and day

I have a need to search a date field, which is formated in short date. I only need to search the month and day and return the realted records with those months or days in them. i am not interested in the year. ex. i have a church database with bithdates entered and they are wanted to search for a month and produce a report of birthdays in a given month. and have it produce a mailing list and a simple report also. access 2000 is the program.

See Month() and Day() function in help

setting up a query with a WHERE clause of something like:

..WHERE Month(BDate) = Month(Date) AND Day(BDate) = Day(Date)

for example would select records for people with birthday today
