Can anyone recommend a dictionary (online or downloadable) that is searchable using wildcard characters? Just interested in word spellings, not definitions, etc..

Example: Sw[red]*[/red]m should return Swim, Swam, Swum

Sw[red]*[/red]m[red]*[/red] should return Swims, Swamp, etc.

Thanks,
GS

I should note that you can use either '?' or "*" as wildcards, but for your examples, the '?' should be used.

Apparently, onelook has had one too many looks this morning.

Did someone post a link on Digg.com or Reddit.com?

No, but only because I hadn't thought of it...[smile]

Actually, I enjoy I all kinds of word puzzles but sometimes I get stuck. Until I get "unstuck" I cannot proceed. Rather than not being able to finish the puzzle, I seek "Computerized, Helpful, Easy And Thorough" solutions. [blue]C.H.E.A.T.[/blue]
