Is there a way to add a web search engine to your site that does not go to a different site to display the results. I am wanting to add a search facility to my site, but i want the results to be shown on my site, not someone elses.I think it would be possible in frames, but i dont know how, and i would rather not use them.

- although it goes to another site, you can customise it to look like your own

I dont mind creating my own, what i was meaning was a way to search the interner rather than my own site, i dont want to use a box from google or lycos or something like that, i am wanting it to do a metasearch, is this possible in html, if not, which language could i use.

I don't think you even want to get into that! Google, Lycos, etc. have HUGE servers to search the net and store their results in HUGE databases so you can search them. Tracy Dryden
