Hi,

How to search word or phrase in file.

I tried using :

1) Search all files and folder
2) All Or part of the file name -> *.TXT
3) A word or phrase in the file -> thanks

Result -> empty, but I'm sure that I have word thanks in my TXT file.

Try this link with a view to fixing your search engine.
Click on WIN XP FIXES on the left of the page and look for "Win XP Search Problems".
 
Linney's Doug Knox fix helps, but you still may not be able to search within all file types unless you keep making changes to the filters for the filetype persistent handler.
