When I choose the search window to explorer with, my search results come up in the main window of IE and not the search window. This has just recently started to happen. Can anyone help with this problem.

There's a check box in Advanced under Internet Options that needs changing...looks like you have it set to Just display in the main window.

In IE, click Help - Contents and Index - click Index
Fill in: customizing Internet Explorer, search
Follow the steps of your choice If the solution is out there, let us know it was helpful, so others can benefit from it as well..

Thanks gargouille,
I have tried this suggestion and have now discovered that all of the check boxes have disappeared. I have no option to check or un-check any thing in the advance field. Do you have any other suggestions?????

Yeah, post back with information on what you've tried and what OS you have and anything else that'll save us suggesting things you've already tried.

My OS is Windows 2000 Professional:
I have tried looking in the help files, I have upgraded to Explorer 6.0, and I have used your suggestion in I/Options.
The only other thing I know to do is re-format my machine.
