search record base on multiple fields

Hi all
I've been searching in previous posts, could not reach the right solution.
I have a combo box which looks up data from another table and a text box for date select from a calendar in main form. I want to search for a record base on the combination of these two fields to display in subform.
Can any kind soul help me on this?

One way is to have a Search button in the main form and in its Click event procedure play with the RecordsetClone, FindFirst, NoMatch and Bookmark methods/properties of the DAO.Recordset/Form object.
