Search option missing from File Open

There used to be a Search option in the File Open/Open File window. I used it to search for specific names or phrases within files. I believe I noticed it missing after upgrading from 98 to 2000, and am now using XP. I've also installed Service Pack 3, but no luck with the Search option showing up again. Any suggestions???

Do you have advanced file dialogs turned off? You did not say what version of WP, but in WP9 it is under Tools - Settings - Files - Document tab - third up from the bottom.

Great idea! I checked, though, & it's on. You're right about WP 9 -- I realized after I posted & moved on to something else I hadn't mentioned which version of WP. Any other ideas/suggestions??

No, I would try searching "corel.wpoffice.wordperfect9" using a google advanced news group search. That database has a lot of good information on WP9.
