Search on same page?

ok this is what im thinking but its been awhile since i used HTML..

I want a drop down box of different #'s
when they choose the correct number can i have it look at the rest of the page, find it then display it on the same page so there is no passing of values? using hidden feilds?

so they select a number it looks at teh hidden fields and then views it?

Not with HTML. Any manipulation you want to do without submitting the forum would be done via client-side scripting, most likely javascript (forum216).
