SEARCH ON LIST AND COMBO LISTS

I am having a difficult time getting my databse to work properly because I cannot get a list box nor a combo box to work as I want. I understand by using the combo box you can enter letters of a name in your database you are searching for and it will do the search one letter at a time but consecutive. this is what I want however, I cannot get the data that is tied to this customer to be called up to enter into the database. In the list box I have I get all the data that is tied to the customer name that I want, but I cannot enter consecutive letters to find the customer I want. anyone have any suggestions or where I should look for help???

Have a look at the AutoExpand property of the ComboBox object.
