Have a voluminous workbook that contains over 70 worksheets and I need to find the occurence of specific text and note the worksheet name and cell location of the text.

Can this be done?

Have tried Ctrl F but it does not work.

Additionally, is there any way to create a "control sheet" that would display the text that I search for and the name of the worksheet that contains the text.

Thanks in advance for any insight on solving this problem.

Hi,

Edit > Find... and select WORKBOOK.

only have excel 2007 loaded right now so I am not sure but in excel 2007 ctrl-f brings up the find dialog and it has options with an arrow beside it that allows you to choose to search within the workbook....
I would think that part of Excel would be similar in 2003..
