Does anyone have or know of any good tutorials on creating search lists?
I dowloaded one by Flash Junkie (link at the bottom), but the tutorial that came with it was too hard to understand (well for me anyway).
The type of search I'm after doesn't have to be as detailed as his\hers, just something with the following:

a) A box showing a list of all people
b) A box where you can type in part of the person's name which then brings them up
c) The ability to easily update the list of people without screwing up the box with them all in.

The layout of Flash Junkies was good, but the one I'm after doesn't have to be draggable.

Like I say, if anyone already has one of these, or tutorials on how to create one, it would be appreciated.

Anyway, heres the link:

The problem I have is that this is to be used on a movie which then links to others (depending on what you click on).

When I change the link in the actionscript to a location on the C drive, it tries to open it in Internet Explorer. What I need to do is change, for example CNN, to 'Person 1' and change their link (from CNN.com) to, for example, 'c:\movies\people\person1.swf'.

How can I do this?

Thanks for your help

Its alright...I got it sorted.

I found the part of the script which tells it to run the link as ' etc, and changed it to loadMovie. Thats sorted now anyway.

I've noticed when reading about it, and through comments in the actionscript, it says that Flash can't perform over 200,000 calculation or it crashes. I also noticed that this search list was made in Flash 4. So...does Flash 5 have this calculation limit?
