Using Access2003 occasionally gives me search key not found error message...usually compacting database clears error message next try...but its a bother. Why is this happening? Been using this database for 10 years without this problem. Do you recommend exporting all tables to an earlier copy of database as solution?

You do realize Access 2003 is 14+ years old ;-)

I would create a new blank file and import everything from the original.

the new Access with colors etc is way too complex for my needs and not time to learn it...maybe you are right about the blank file then importing all tables forms and reports...but there must be 25 if not 50 of these in my database by now so I'll see if the problem persists first. Thanks...
