Please forgive my lack of knowledge with these search engines, but I guess that is what these forums are for.
I have a site I submitted to yahoo and google. If you search on "Salon Eileen", the site does not come up. The only way the site comes up, is if you do a search on "saloneileen" (for both). In Yahoo it comes up wtih the description "Index" and the url. In Google, it just has the URL. I did do the meta tags and it is descriptive, I would like to know what I'm doing wrong here. Unfortunatly, before these web ventures, I only designed for our intraweb, so I wasn't so concerned about this.
Thanks for the help!

If you've only just submitted the site, it can take a week or two for the engines to index it fully. Looking at your site, it doesn't seem to be doing anything particularly wrong from an SEO standpoint, though moving the javascript and CSS into seperate files would probably be a good idea. Try running your page through for some tips.

One thing I did find is that if the page is submitted to the W3C validator - - it gets redirected to . Presumably the web server is redirecting http requests that it doesn't like the look of - are you sure that it's not redirecting search spiders the same way? If your position doesn't improve, try removing this "feature" to see if it does the trick.
